Duje Miljak: From Vienna back to Germany

Duje Miljak
ThSV Eisenach confirmed the signing of Duje Miljak. The 32-year old backfielder played already for the German club from 2011 to 2013, he was part of the team that reached the promotion to the first division in 2013. This is also the aim for the next season after Eisenach was relegated into the second division this summer. Miljak signed a contract for the next three years.

"It is a perfect match, in a sporting and moral way. And he knows ThSV Eisenach very well," explained Karsten Wöhler, manager of ThSV Eisenach the new signing. For the club the backfielder is also planned as a mainstay of the defence. In the past season Miljak played in Austria for SG Handball Westwien. "I am looking forward to this new task in Eisenach and want to help the young players with my experience," Duje Miljak said.

In 2007 Duje Miljak moved to Germany when he switched from RK Split to TV Emsdetten. In 2010 he signed a contract with RK Metalurg Skopje and played one season in Macedonia. In 2011 he went to ThSV Eisenach and celebrated the promotion to the first division with the club in 2013. He left the club and played one year for Bergischer HC in the German Bundesliga. In the summer of 2014 he joined SG Handball Westwien in Austria. Now his path takes him back to Germany and Eisenach. On July 14, he will be one of the players starting the preparation for the 2nd Bundesliga.
